Can-Ex Technologies Launches the DIPCAM, Strengthening Its Underground Network Inspection Solutions

Can-Ex Technologies adds the DIPCAM to its product lineup, a manhole inspection solution that accelerates and simplifies data collection for more efficient infrastructure asset management.

QUEBEC CITY, February 23, 2026 — Can-Ex Technologies announces the launch of its new product, the DIPCAM, a 360° panoramic inspection solution for manholes and valve chambers designed to help municipalities better document the actual condition of their underground infrastructure and prioritize interventions before failures affect residents.

The DIPCAM complements the company’s range of inspection solutions alongside the ZIPCAM 360, a next-generation sewer pipe inspection camera. With the DIPCAM, Can-Ex Technologies now covers the entire underground network inspection cycle: pipes and manholes data collection, and the processing, analysis, and sharing of this data. The DIPCAM will be distributed throughout Canada and the United States.

A Tool Serving a Vision: Solving the Infrastructure Crisis Through Data

Beyond its technical and operational performance, the DIPCAM is a strategic lever in solving two closely linked crises: the infrastructure crisis and the housing crisis. If some municipalities struggle to develop new residential areas, it is often because aging sewer networks cannot support the increased demand. Better understanding the true condition of these assets also means better planning for the development of our cities.

”With the DIPCAM, Can-Ex Technologies now has a complete lineup for underground network inspection: the ZIPCAM 360 for pipes, the DIPCAM for manholes, and the ANALYSIS platform to easily centralize, analyze, and share all inspection data among teams. This comprehensive overview of the network is accessible from a single data environment, allowing asset managers to prioritize their interventions based on real field data. The goal is to move away from a reactive approach in favor of proactive maintenance management for our sewer networks.”

Says Samuel Roux, General Manager of Can-Ex Technologies

Fast, Accurate, and Compliant Data Collection

The DIPCAM was designed to modernize and optimize the workflow of field teams. The technician lowers the telescopic pole into the manhole from the surface, without entering a confined space. The system captures the entire structure in ultra-high definition. With the DIPCAM, a complete manhole inspection can now be performed in 3 minutes by a single technician.

This approach eliminates the risks of confined space exposure for field crews, in compliance with the stringent requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (RSST), while allowing smaller teams to inspect more manholes during the same field deployment. The generated data complies with North American NASSCO MACP standards and is directly actionable by municipalities to prioritize asset maintenance and rehabilitation interventions.
