All about ZIPCAM 360
Learn more about our flagship sewer inspection platform.
Does the camera provide a real-time view inside the pipe?
A real-time video feed is available for inspection of pipes with a diameter of 300 mm or greater.
How does the operator collect the pipe view from all angles, and how does he control the tilt of the camera?
The video is automatically collected in panoramic 360, so it can navigate through the image like a Google Street View of the pipe. The operator doesn’t need to control the angle of the camera, neither horizontally nor vertically.
How do you connect the ZIPCAM 360 to the vac truck?
- Unscrew the cleaning nozzle from the hose.
- Screw on our custom propulsion nozzle.
- Clip the ZIPCAM 360 to the nozzle.
Do you need the pipe to be cleaned in order to do the inspection?
Yes, if you want to meet the NASSCO standards, but considering the camera design with the elevation arm, you can still identify defects in an uncleaned pipe.
All about ANALYSIS
Essential information about our proprietary software platform.
What pipe crawlers models are compatible with your software?
So far, our software has been compatible with every brand of pipe crawler we've tested. Depending on the video feed you are receiving from your crawler, some minor adjustments may be required. As long as the resulting video feed is digital, we are able to process it. If your crawler is not converting the video feed directly, some inexpensive tools allow for conversion from S-video or RCA into USB.
Tell us what kind of crawler you use and we'll be happy to provide more information about compatibility with our app. Contact us here.
What resolution is required and what video formats are supported?
There is no minimal or maximal resolution required. Since our pricing is based on data storage, we reduce the resolution to 640x480, which we believe is the minimal resolution required to accurately code defects. If there are any issues with that video quality, these settings can easily be changed in the backend. Our software currently supports the following video file formats: MP4, MPEG, WEBM. Other video formats can also be supported.
What is the minimal internet connection required?
Our minimum recommended internet speed is 15 mb/second, although we have found that we can efficiently run with even slower connections. As a rule of thumb: if your device can run YouTube, it can run our platform.
Is the software PACP and MAPC certified?
Yes, it has been certified since early 2021.
Which PACP version does the software support?
ANALYSIS supports version 7.0 of the PACP.
Will I be locked in if I start using your platform?
No. Because our solution is NASSCO certified, everything can be downloaded as a NASSCO-compatible export.
Is your software able to import and export different versions of the NASSCO Standard Exchange databases?
Our software can import different versions of the NASSCO Standard database. Right now, the export functionality is limited to version 7.0.
Does your software automatically score pipes based on the defects identified? What types of scores are given? Can the scores be exported?
Yes, our software automatically scores pipes based on the defects identified.
The score gives the pipe condition grade based on the current version of the NASSCO standard.
Yes, scores can be exported.
