The Role
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be the backbone of our data architecture. You’ll build and scale pipelines, deploy infrastructure, and bring structure to massive volumes of raw, high-impact data—including inspection video, sensor data, and machine learning outputs.
You’ll work in tight collaboration with our Data Analyst (your counterpart), our product & engineering teams, and the GM. Together, you’ll turn raw data into a strategic asset across our platform.
This role is ideal for someone who’s deeply technical, thrives on building from scratch, and wants to turn raw data into long-term infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
🔧 Architect and implement our data infrastructure on GCP (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, DataFlow, etc.)
🏗 Design and maintain a scalable and modern Data Architecture
📦 Build scalable, secure data pipelines to support labeling, analytics, and ML
🧭 Build ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data, including images, video and sensor feeds
🧠 Enable our computer vision and ML workflows through smart architecture decisions
🔍 Collaborate with analysts and engineers to deliver clean, labeled, usable data
📈 Lay the groundwork for business dashboards, in-app insights, and operational intelligence

Who You Are

📹 Background in computer vision pipelines and large unstructured data
📌 Experience managing both labeled and unlabeled datasets at scale
🤝 Ready to work in tandem with a Data Analyst to drive actionable outcomes

Requirements
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning
- 5+ years in data engineering or similar technical roles
- Fluency in Python and strong grasp of software engineering best practices
- Expertise in GCP services: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, DataFlow, and related tooling
- Proven experience building modern data architectures (Data Lake, Lakehouse, etc.)
- Experience with computer vision pipelines and managing labeled/unlabeled data
- Background in SaaS, electronic tools, or industrial/IoT data (strong asset)
